Why are we driven towards PAPERLESS WORLD
The Information technology revolution had redefined the communication exchange modes to such an extent that people were driven with thought to be paperless. The Computers, Laptops, Tabs, Mobile phones, VOIPs, the messengers etc you name it there are numerous software and hardware systems to interact and exchange information. The pace of the information sharing had gone to an extent that humans now spend more time on their mobile than with their family.
There is a saying that "We ignore people near and admire people far".
Till late 80s of 19th century individuals and enterprises used to communicate and correspond with paper. Before the IT revolution actually took off Paper used to be an important mode to correspond and communicate. Those days without paper communication is unimaginable. Huge volumes of wood was used to make paper which resulted in outcry that the environment is getting destroyed, deforestation fears was sounded everywhere, adding to this due to the rapid industrialization and mechanization of our world made the conditions worse for manufacturing paper. However consumption of paper did not see any decline.
But the advent of computer with increased speed to store, process and retrieve information was elevated a next big thing to Paper. Since paper is perishable, computers and system storage devices had gained more importance. This Computer revolution had branched into all most all sectors and now we cannot imagine any office or institution without a PC, without internet.
But to the reality Paper industry had now developed to an extant where every product and by-product is re-cycled or re-used in different internal and external applications in a paper industry. There are many paper units where sugarcane, wheat straw is used as pulp instead of wood pulp. The huge steam developed while boiling is used for captive power generation, The water used in processing paper is used treated and used for Agri and Non agri-based applications, The internal integration of paper manufacturing process ensures that nominal pollutants are released into atmosphere and most of the pollutants are treated.
Companies like ITC PSPD, TNPL, BILT, Century Pulp and papers, Delta papers etc had grown to a level where they adopted more environmental friendly techniques by discouraging deforestation and encouraging wood production by farmers, providing them seeds, technical support for effective farming.
However post IT revolution to aggressively promote IT applications and systems, paper was shadowed under the negative propaganda that deforestation had increased, pollution had growth leaps and bounds around paper factories across the globe, paper is perishable so life of protecting information is decreased etc creating a negative sense to promote paper and the same negative notion gave birth to the "Paperless World" agenda that was driven by the IT majors to increase their market share. Now more than 50% of the organisations, enterprises and institutions purely survive on Microsoft Operations systems products and services and Google internet based service. There are many IT and NON IT companies who took complete control the business processes around the world with either a software OS or ERP or a database.
Now a days papers is more used as personal sanitation than in personal correspondence.
Electronic waste generated out of un-used or out dated systems and devices like Desktops, Mobile phones, Charges, Hard discs, Floppies, CD, Pendrives etc. cannot be recycled easily. http://ecowatch.com/2015/04/14/bellini-electronic-waste/ (Source: Ecowatch) The cost of recycling is also high, not many countries boost with the electronic waste recycling facilities. But sadly these technology had gone so deep inside the human life that it is un-imaginable to think of life without them.
Where as paper can be recycled. Paper easily decompose. Paper does not create any side effects to body especially to your eyes. Though information storage and retrieval technologies had developed to a great extent important documents are always printed and stored.
I urge to the world "Keep IT for online, Paper for offline" as we cannot avoid anyone of them at any time.

Kanhaiya...Kanhaiya...Kanhaiya
After going through my header you definitely will not think of Krishna Kanhaiya as this is not Tretayug...This is KALUYUG...now media is making the people of India to chant Kanhaiya Kumar's name...The JNU issue had bought a new cause and a new face to current politics. An hour back before i started writing this blog article i was trying to scroll through all the news twitts in the twitter...to my astonishment 90% twits were on the Kanhaiya Kumar speech after his release. Be it an video or a statement he was made a highly regarded political celebrity for Public
I feel great that union leaders of various universities are now trying to expose and fight the discrimination they experienced in their academics session. This is great revelation that got initiated after Rohit vemula's death. The kind of political and media followup Kanhaiya got is something extraordinary, just in a span of one month Kanhaiya became a socio-political icon.
Now i have few questions to Kanhaiya and his team:
Why was they waiting for this time to outburst???
Were they voicing this issues even before this???
What Kanhaiya did for campus discriminations issues before 2016?
Will he do an all India Andolan
Why he got enlighted in this year only???
Is he got to join any political party since left already announced that Kanhaiya will join for their election campaign in Bengal???
Time will expose on whether he is another CRAZY WALL in making or a great student leader fighting for student fundamental rights at universities and institutions in India...
